Welcome to The Lunch Buddy Program!

"A hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove. But the world may be different because I was important to a child."

-Author Unknown

Thank you for your interest in the Lunch Buddy Program! Through this program, we pair a caring, responsible adult with a child who may need a role model or some extra attention. You'll have lunch with your student buddy once per week, and you'll develop a friendship that could last for years. We believe your Lunch Buddy experience will be enjoyable and beneficial for both you and your student buddy.

This Web site contains information that you may find useful as you begin your Lunch Buddy relationship:

Here is a list of schools with their addresses (in Excel) or you may visit the principal directory (numbers only). Contact the school in which you'd like to volunteer and ask for the Lunch Buddy Coordinator. If you need help deciding which school to contact, call the Community Partnerships office at 370-8355.

Thank you for your time and interest. We hope your Lunch Buddy experience is the beginning of a long and meaningful friendship. Best wishes for a successful year as a Lunch Buddy!
