Goals

In the Guilford County Schools Strategic Plan 2012 – Achieving Educational Excellence (GCS Strategic Plan), goals are set to increase the number of students performing at Level III or higher proficiency on End-of-Grade and End-of-Course exams to 81 percent in elementary grades and to 89 percent in secondary grades.

One Million Books is a strategy identified to meet these goals and calls for engaging school and the community in the promotion of pre-K-12 literacy.
